Massage has always been one of the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort. It is believed that the art of massage was first mentioned in writing about 2000 B.C.
Manual medicine is the use of the hands in the treatment of injury and disease. Its therapeutic value derives from changes in the soft tissue and structure rather than from surgery or pharmeceuticals.
Deep Tissue Massage - Not a painful technique and can be very nurturing. It is the understanding of the layers of the body, and to work with these layers to relax, lengthen, and release holding patterns in the most effective way possible, working with the layers of the body to relieve pain, relax, lengthen, and release holding patterns.
Neuromuscular Massage - Therapeutic Massage, Medical, Trigger Point Therapy, manipulates specific characteristics and functions of the muscular and nervous systems to correct dysfunction in the body. This is very deep work to reshape dysfunctional connective tissue.
Lymphatic Drainage - a very gentle and rhythmic style of massage for the lymphatic system to reduce edema and stimulate the immune system. This is very effective pre and post surgery to help with swelling, edema and to help the healing process.
LEANDRA HAUS, Massage Practitioner, NMT, LDMT, RMT Ever since she can remember, Leandra has always loved massage. It was not until she was in the Army and stationed in Germany in 2002 that Leandra finally knew she had to be a Massage Therapist, it was simply her calling. When she got out of the Army in August of 2006 her first mission was to find the perfect school and sign up. Leandra graduated in December 2007 from The Colorado School of Healing Arts at the top of my class as a CMT (Certified Massage Therapist). She has well over 700 hrs of hands on massage time either from school or her own clients. In April 2008, Leandra began her AOS (associates of occupational studies) for continued education and three specific specialties. These specialties are Lymphatic Drainage, Neuromuscular Massage and Spa Arts and Sciences. Prenatal Massage will also be on the menu. She completed her degree program in September of 2009. Leandra's goal as a Massage Therapist is to help as many people as possible with injuries, muscular dysfunction, pain and disease, and education on healthy and natural living. Her primary field is medical massage, but believes we all need to be pampered as well so the Spa certification will come in very handy.
For private/wellness clients, Leandra's rates are:
30 minutes for $30
60 minutes for $60
90 minutes for $75.
The first massage is $10 off the regular prices.
